It's 6am. You're handed a freshly brewed coffee. Orange streaks cover the sky towards the horizon as the sun climbs higher. You've got a full day of safari ahead of you.
Tanzania is one of Africa's most popular safari destinations, and there is no shortage of exceptional accommodation here.
Picture a private veranda overlooking a verdant clearing. A private pool just a few hundred metres from a group of elephants. A whisky or wine around the campfire in middle of Africa's wildest wilderness areas.
Certain parks in Tanzania include private concessions and reserves. In these areas, there are strict limits on the number of vehicles and lodges that are allowed within the reserves borders.
Stayin in these reserves offers unmatched exclusivity and a private safari experience unlike anything you will find in the main parks. There are far fewer vehicles and many of Tanzania's most impressive luxury lodges, like Singita Faru Faru, are within these reserves.
Hot air balloon safaris offer an unbelievable vantage point over the Serengeti.
The flights take the place of your morning game drive. so instead of jumping into the jeep and heading out on safari, you'll make your way to the balloon staging site and after a short safety briefing you'll board and slowly begin your ascent over the plains...
The flights last about 90 minutes, during which time you'll ascend to higher elevations for the best views of the endless plains, and descend over congregations of wildlife.
Afterwards, enjoy you a champagne breakfast before heading back to the lodge for a rest.
