Itinerary

Day 1: The adventure begins!

Upon Arrival at the Dar Es Salaam Airport, you'll be transferred to the Oyster Bay Hotel where you'll spend your first night in Tanzania.

Meal plan: Bed and Breakfast

Area: Dar es Salaam

Day 2: Oyster Bay Hotel to Kiba Point

Transfer from Oyster Bay Hotel to the Dar Es Salaam Airport ahead of your private charter to Selous Airstrip. From here you'll be driven to Nomad's Kiba Point Selous camp, where you'll spend the next three nights.

Kiba Point offers private groups of families and friends the unrestrained freedom of one of the world’s biggest reserves, with exclusive guides, vehicles and a camp full of home-away-from-home indulgences.

Meal plan: Full Board

Area: Serengeti

Day 3 & 4: Serengeti National Park

Select from a variety of exciting activities offered on-site to make the most of your day, including morning and afternoon game drives.

Tanzania’s oldest park, covering a whopping 1.5 million hectares, and home to an incredible diversity of animals - why not venture back into the plains of the Serengeti again, this time in search of the four endangered animal species in the park; the black rhino, elephant, wild dog, and cheetah.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ruaha

Transfer from the lodge to Selous Airstrip. Take a private charter to the closest airstrip to head to Jabali Ridge Private House in Ruaha National Park, where you'll spend the next three nights. Ruaha is often overshadowed by its bigger sisters on Tanzania's northern safari circuit. This - in many ways - is one of its biggest strengths.

At Ruaha, you can experience Tanzania's wilderness without the drone of surrounding safari engines. Its remoteness - and utter vastness - is what makes it so compelling. Ruaha is part of Tanzania's southern safari circuit, often combined with Selous.

This lodge comes with a game package that includes shared game drives around the nearby reserves and shared return airstrip transfers.

Meal plan: Full Board

Area: Ruaha

Day 6-7: Ruaha National Park

Select from a variety of exciting activities offered on-site to make the most of your day, including morning and afternoon game drives.

Safaris at Ruaha offer great wildlife photography opportunities. Visitor numbers in the park are much lower than in the Serengeti or Ngorongoro, which means you can feel like you have the park all to yourself. Ruaha has the largest concentration of elephants in East Africa with a population of around 10,000 of these gentle giants. Ruaha is also home to 10% of the global lion population.

You also have a chance of seeing leopards, cheetahs, zebras, elands, giraffes, impalas, bat-eared foxes, snakes, crocodiles, and jackals.

Day 8: Ruaha to Zanzibar

Transfer to Ruaha Airstrip ahead of your private charter to Zanzibar. From Zanzibar International Airport, you'll make your way to the luxurious Zuri Zanzibar Villa where you'll spend the next four nights by the beach.

Anchored 22 miles off Tanzania's coast, Zanzibar is an archipelago of over 50 islands and islets. The meeting point between Africa, Arabia and India, this semi-autonomous region is a popular post-safari destination, providing a tropical beach paradise to close out your East African safari.

Meal plan: Full Board

Area: Kendwa

Day 9-11: Zanzibar Archipelago

Spend your time relaxing and unwinding on the Zanzibar beaches. Uniting with Tanzania in 1964, Zanzibar is now one of the best beach holiday destinations in East Africa.

Spend one day on the waters, doing everything from paddleboarding to windsurfing, and spend the next completely relaxed, sunbathing with a drink in hand.  Here, it's very different to mainland Tanzania and makes for a perfect end to an East African safari.

Day 12: Off towardds your next adventure

Transfer from Zuri Zanzibar to Zanzibar International Airport ahead of your international flight.
