Tanzania Eco Safari

Day 1

Own flight arrangements to Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your lodge, settling in after your flights. (D)

Arumeru River Lodge

1 Night

Day 2

After breakfast, you'll begin your safari to the Lake Manyara National Park for a day of game viewing, taking picnic lunches with you. Late afternoon, you'll drive in the Ngorongoro Highlands where you'll arrive at your lodge with time to settle in before dinner. (BLD)

Bashay Rift Lodge

2 Nights

Day 3

Today you have a thrilling game drive to the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater, with a picnic lunch. In the afternoon, you'll return to your lodge. (BLD)

Day 4 - 6

This morning you'll enjoy a mountain biking adventure through the highland farms and local villages. Return to the lodge for lunch, before you depart for your camp near Olduvai, game driving en route. Settle in for dinner. (BLD)

Olduvai Camp

2 Nights

Day 5

This morning you'll head out with a Maasai guide on a trek to summit the surrounding volcanoes and visit the Olduvai Gorge & Museum. This evening, you'll enjoy a sunset walk to the kopjes with your Maasai guides. (BLD)

Day 6 - 8

Following breakfast, you'll depart for the western Serengeti plains, arriving at your lodge for lunch. Your afternoon will be spent on a game drive in the private concession. Dinner is back in camp. (BLD)

Grumeti Hills

2 Nights

Day 7 

After breakfast, you'll head out on foot, enjoying a walking safari in the concession. Focus on the flora/fauna and track footprints, learning about the smaller things. Enjoy a game drive and a night drive later. (BLD)

Day 8 - 10 

After breakfast, you'll drive into the central Serengeti plains, game viewing en route, and arriving at your final camp for lunch. An afternoon game drive is enjoyed before dinner. (BLD)

Togoro Plains

2 Nights

Day 9 

Spend today on a morning and afternoon game drive. (BLD)

Day 10 

After breakfast, you'll be transferred to the nearby airstrip and board a light aircraft flight to Arusha. You'll be taken for lunch at a local restaurant before being transferred to the Kilimanjaro Airport in time for your onward flight arrangements.
